Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID)
Monarch’s ICF/IID homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities offer the highest level of residential care designed to meet the needs of each resident. Residential services also include the integration of physical health care such as nursing, physical and occupational therapy, and physician oversight. Monarch’s direct support professionals provide supervision and support 24 hours a day in ICF/IID homes.
Monarch provides ICF/IID homes for children and adults. Both private and shared rooms may be available and residents are encouraged to bring personal belongings to personalize their home.
Our ICF/IID homes are located in Anson, Craven, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Richmond, Stanly, Stokes and Union counties.

Funding
- Monthly Room and Board: $1,285 per month. Monthly room and board costs cover the rent, utilities, food, and household supplies and is funded by the resident’s Social Security Income / Social Security Disability Income (SSI/SSDI), Medicaid Special Assistance or private pay. In addition to:
- Daily Service Fee: The daily service fee covers staffing and all therapeutic services provided in the home and is authorized through a person’s local Managed Care Organization (MCO) and paid for by North Carolina Medicaid Direct. Medicaid from other states cannot be utilized in this setting. The daily service fee varies by home and is subject to change. Please contact us for the current rates.
