Imani is a bright-eyed, compassionate 12-year-old girl with hopes of making a difference in the world. With suicidal ideations, Imani came to the SECU Youth Crisis Center, a Monarch program, in Charlotte where she learned coping methods and received support for several mental health diagnoses. She is now thriving and helps other kids experiencing mental and behavioral health crises by sharing her own story, and pointing them to programs like Monarch’s that provide Imani and her family with the support they need. Monarch’s Youth Crisis Center is the first of its kind in North Carolina, and has served more than 600 admissions since its ribbon cutting in Jan. 2018. This is #CareForNC.
