Monarch has 14 day programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across North Carolina and we are actively seeking people who have skills to share.
These are some examples of classes of interest to the individuals supported by Monarch that would translate well to workshops: arts and crafts, balloon artistry, baking and food preparation, light exercise, face painting, health and nutrition, music, needlepoint, sewing, story-telling, and yoga. Monarch Creative Arts and Community Center (MCACC) in Southern Pines is seeking volunteers to join the day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Monarch Creative Arts and Community Center offers a nurturing environment that fosters creative expression, community engagement, and relationship development through a wide variety of classes and activities.
