In the spring of 1958, a group of dedicated parents and other concerned community members came together in Stanly County, committed to finding and creating resources for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. This group’s vision for compassionate care and access to community resources served as the foundation for all that Monarch has become.
Now, 60 years later, Monarch serves nearly 30,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders through innovative services and programs. Join Monarch as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary year!
