Volunteers Needed: Teach a skill to people we support

Do you have a special talent or skill that you would like to teach to others? Monarch needs you!

Monarch has 14 day programs across 43 counties in North Carolina and we are actively seeking people who can teach ongoing, scheduled classes or workshops to the people we support who have mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

These are some examples of classes of interest to the individuals supported by Monarch that would translate well to workshops: arts and crafts, balloon artistry, baking and food preparation, light exercise, face painting, health and nutrition, music, needlepoint, sewing, story-telling, and yoga.

For information about internship opportunities and academic course credit, email [email protected] or call (704) 986-1505.
