Monarch hosted a Virtual Lunch & Learn webinar on March 18, 2025, to provide valuable insights into the NC Innovations Waiver, a Medicaid-funded program designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in North Carolina.

The session was led by Debbie Lee Staton-Stehling, Vice President of Operations, Long-Term Supports and Services, who provided expert guidance on eligibility criteria, available services, the application process and how the waiver empowers individuals to live more independently in their communities. The discussion also covered person-centered planning, advocacy and key resources available to individuals and families navigating the waiver system.

This Lunch & Learn was part of our Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) 2025 campaign, “Uniquely Gifted, Universally Connected,” which celebrates the talents and contributions of individuals with I/DD while highlighting the shared experiences that unite us all. Through educational events, advocacy efforts and storytelling, Monarch remains committed to increasing awareness and promoting inclusivity.

For those who were unable to attend or would like to revisit the discussion, the full recorded presentation is available above.
