Monarch’s Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Center in Lumberton is a place of hope and healing for adults experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. We accept patients who walk-in to the center or who are referred 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and welcome patients from all North Carolina counties.

Monarch’s Facility-Based Crisis Center (FBC) offers a secure environment where individuals can start to heal. In a safe setting with 16 beds, trained staff and a psychiatrist work together to provide support and care. The program lasts a short time — typically 5 to 7 days — and focuses on stabilizing the person, determining their treatment needs and planning for their future care. The program can also support medical detoxification if needed.

This program aims to provide an alternative to going to a hospital when someone is in crisis and can support people who voluntarily commit to treatment as well as those under an involuntary commitment (IVC).
