In-Home Skill Building Services are funded through (b)(3) Medicaid funding for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This is an individualized service that allows people to live successfully at home and in their communities. Paid staff will help individuals learn or improve personal skills (e.g., shopping, budgeting) that are based on personal wants and needs, such as building relationships, living independently and being a part of the community. Family members or caregivers are expected to take part in the skill building sessions.
