Monarch is excited to share that we are applying for six FY28 Section 5310 Capital and Purchase of Service grants to support transportation access in Bladen, Camden, Columbus, Moore, Rockingham and Stanly counties.
These funds will help expand safe, reliable transportation options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who face barriers getting to Monarch’s day programs in those areas. Transportation is often the first step toward independence and connection, and we are proud to invest in solutions that bring people closer to the care and opportunities they need.
We believe strong community partnerships and thoughtful planning make this work possible.
Monarch will hold a public hearing regarding six proposed Community Transportation Program applications to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The public hearing will take place Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. before the Monarch Board of Directors.
