
Richard Gary
Vice President of Operations, LTSS
Richard Gary serves as Vice President of Operations for Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) at Monarch, where he leads efforts to support, educate and empower individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and mental health needs to pursue and achieve their goals. In this role, Richard will oversee the implementation of a large state grant focused on employment support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
With 25 years of experience in human services, Richard has held various administrative roles supporting diverse populations, including youth experiencing homelessness and individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Tennessee, dual master’s degrees in Human Services and Business Management and a Master of Business Administration in Executive Leadership from Liberty University.
A recipient of the Danville Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award, Richard is also an alum of multiple leadership programs, including Leadership Durham and the BlueCross BlueShield Innovative Leadership Program.
Based in Greensboro, NC, he enjoys family time, kayaking, working out and watching historical and paranormal documentaries.
