A Message from Nakeyta Goolsby

Hello, I’m Nakeyta Goolsby, a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to compassionate, personalized care. My professional journey began in 2016 with Monarch, where I served as a registered nurse at the Crisis Center. It was during this time that I pursued a master’s degree in nursing, further deepening my commitment to mental health care. Currently, I work with Virtual Open Access, conducting initial psychiatric evaluations and often serving as one of the first providers to connect with clients. 

I take great pride in my ability to build genuine rapport, believing that effective care is rooted in mutual respect, empathy and understanding. I am passionate about educating clients on the dynamic interplay between mind and body, and I firmly embrace a person-centered approach that honors each individual’s preferences while ensuring safe, comprehensive treatment.

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, dancing, reading, and cherishing moments with my family and fur baby.
