Jonathan Nagy
Nurse Practitioner
A Message from Jonathan Nagy
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in substance use disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. I completed my training at UNC-Chapel Hill and began my practice at Monarch following a clinical rotation. During my time here, I quickly recognized the deep commitment Monarch practitioners have to their patients, which solidified my desire to be part of this team.
In my practice, I provide medication management and brief therapeutic interventions for individuals aged 13 and older. I also offer specialized management for Clozaril and Suboxone, as well as care for pregnant and nursing mothers. I have a particular passion for addiction treatment, guiding patients toward recovery, helping them set and achieve their goals, and empowering them to reclaim their lives.
Collaboration is central to my approach—I believe in involving patients in their treatment decisions, presenting them with options, and equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to heal. My goal is to foster an environment of trust and support, ensuring that each person receives personalized, compassionate care.
I truly love what I do and look forward to continuing this work for many years. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family, backpacking, gardening, and exploring personal finance.
