Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners

Ernest Gorham

Nurse Practitioner

My name is Ernest Gorham, and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Monarch focused on behavioral health care and substance disorders. I work with all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting individuals living with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health and substance disorder challenges.

My philosophy of care is simple: every patient deserves to feel heard, be in control of their care, and be supported in their journey to a more balanced and fulfilling life. I believe in meeting people where they are, building trust, and creating care plans that reflect each person’s goals, values, and lived experience.

My clinical interests include medication management, suicide risk prevention, and improving treatment participation. I enjoy helping patients better understand their symptoms and feel more confident managing their mental health day to day.

I became a mental health provider because I wanted to make a meaningful difference during some of the most difficult moments in people’s lives. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing patients regain hope and stability.

I am committed to clear communication, compassionate care, and being a consistent partner in each patient’s ongoing journey toward wellness and I can’t wait to work with you.
