This fund will provide financial support to current Monarch employees who seek to further their education, enhance their skills and grow their careers within the organization. It reflects Peggy’s lifelong commitment to learning and her belief that investing in people is the key to lasting impact.
Throughout her career, Peggy has championed professional development and encouraged staff to pursue educational opportunities. Her passion for teaching is evident in her roles as an adjunct professor at Duke University, Winthrop University and Pfeiffer University, where she inspired countless students and professionals.

The fund was formally announced during a special 30th Anniversary Virtual Celebration on September 25, 2025, along with an inspiring $35,000 in contributions from friends, colleagues, and Monarch families, demonstrating the deep admiration and support for Dr. Terhune’s legacy and commitment to education.
