Monarch Healthcare will host a press conference Monday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. at its Behavioral Health Office in Rocky Mount to announce a $500,000 allocation from the North Carolina General Assembly to support critical mental health services in Nash County.
Rep. Allen Chesser, who represents North Carolina House District 25 and championed the funding, will join Monarch Healthcare President Blake Martin and community leaders to discuss the significance of the investment and how it will help address mental health needs in the community.

Strengthening Mental Health Care in Nash County
Monarch Healthcare currently serves approximately 700 people each year in Nash County, providing mental health services including therapy, psychiatric services, medication management and mobile clinic care.
The $500,000 allocation will help Monarch Healthcare increase access to mental health services, strengthen existing outpatient services and incorporate primary care to support a more integrated, whole-person approach to care.

Chesser. “I was honored to advocate for this funding in the General Assembly because it will ensure that individuals and families in Nash County have access to the services and support they need.
