Monarch to offer mental health services in Winston-Salem

“We are grateful Monarch was approved to provide an expansion of services to the greater Winston-Salem and Forsyth County areas,” said Dr. Peggy Terhune, Monarch’s chief executive officer. “The opportunity to offer services in this community allows our organization to achieve the mission to expand quality services and provide more access to care to people who need it. I look forward with confidence as we continue our commitment to support people living with mental health, substance abuse, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

Terhune said Monarch is working diligently so that people who received services from the previous provider will not experience a disruption of those services.

“We are excited about this new opportunity and don’t foresee an immediate change of current services or programs in an effort to make the transition as easy as possible,” Terhune explained. “We have and will make it a point to connect with individuals, families, guardians and staff to answer questions. We are optimistic about developing positive relationships, helping people reach their dreams and welcoming them to Monarch.”
