Monarch receives grant to enhance technology from Enterprise Holdings Foundation

Blake Martin, Monarch’s chief development officer, said this secured gift demonstrates the importance of Monarch’s mission and it’s increased use of advanced technology to better assist people and to help them to reach their fullest potential.

“There will always be a need to invest in new technology for the people we support. We believe new equipment and technological advancements will further enhance the development and improve the lives of people with disabilities and mental illness,” Martin explained. “Monarch is grateful for our partnership with Enterprise Fleet Management and appreciates their willingness to apply for this grant on our behalf.”

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation gives back and strengthens through charitable support thousands of communities where Enterprise customers and employees work and live. The grant to Monarch was made possible by local employees of Enterprise Fleet Management, an affiliate of Enterprise Holdings.

“We could not be happier to help contribute to such an important and difference-making organization like Monarch”, said Bryan Calloway, director for Enterprise Fleet Management in North Carolina.  “Monarch truly makes a positive impact on the lives of thousands of families in the state of North Carolina and every dollar given goes to furthering their mission and cause.  Our employees are proud to be connected and part of the support of Monarch.”

Monarch provides support statewide to thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse challenges from more than 50 North Carolina counties. Monarch is nationally accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership and is CABHA certified. The agency is an affiliate chapter of The Arc of North Carolina and The Arc of the United States.
