Monarch Hosts Educational Forum with Arc of North
“This is an excellent opportunity for us to get the appropriate feedback from the parents and the community on how we can strengthen our young people’s future and prepare them for life after public school” says Brittany Gibson, Advocate for The Arc of Stanly County and Community Support Professional for Monarch. The Arc of North Carolina wants and needs input to help identify the statewide issues that are keeping students from planning for and having meaningful lives. Both organizations are working in unison to find a solution to this problem. “The purpose of this forum is to help us as a community determine what changes we want to see to laws and regulations in Raleigh so that our school system is better equipped to meet the needs of students in Stanly County.” adds Dr. Peggy Terhune, CEO, Monarch. For more information on the forum, contact Brittany Gibson at 704.986.1546 or bgibson@MonarchNC.org.
