Monarch Golf Tournament Raises More Than $45,000

Contest winners included:

First place tournament winners received a $100 gift credit per player to the Tillery Golf Pro Shop. The winning team included David Smith, Ron Swanner, Mark Andrew and David Palmer, all from Stanly County.
First place ball drop winner earned a $1,000 prize. Prize winner: Jeff Gaskin of Weddington.
Second place ball drop winner received a $500 prize. Prize winner: Rachel Morrison of Norwood.
Putting contest winner earned a golf outing to Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club in Southern Pines. Prize winner: Clint Miller of Mt. Pleasant.

The event ended with an awards ceremony and reception. Blake Martin, chief development officer and golf tournament organizer, said he was thankful to all who supported the event.

“We are extremely grateful for the tremendous support we have received from numerous individuals, staff and area businesses and organizations that have helped to make this event successful,” Martin said. “All the proceeds raised from this tournament will help Monarch to further advance its mission to provide quality services and to help fulfill the dreams of the thousands of people we support statewide.”
