Monarch Beach Club work alongside Community Foundation leaders during yard clean up

We all were veryBeach Club OBCF Yard Day 2013 impressed and came away with a better understanding of the importance of programs like the Beach Club that provide a chance for its members to participate more fully in our community and a chance for them to contribute in very meaningful ways.  It enriches our community and everyone who comes in contact with them.”

The Outer Banks Community Foundation manages assets of more than $10 million in 110 funds.  Last year, the Community Foundation provided approximately $390,000 in grants to local nonprofits and almost $140,000 in scholarships to local students.  The organization recently provided support for the Beach Club partnership with the Outer Banks Children’s Museum.

Monarch provides support statewide to thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse challenges from more than 50 North Carolina counties.
