These mobile clinics serve Halifax, Northampton, Bertie, Hertford, Gates and Nash counties, offering a convenient and accessible solution for individuals seeking care. 

These mobile clinics bring weekly, on-site care to rural and underserved communities, reducing barriers to accessing essential mental health and substance use disorder services. Operated in partnership with Trillium Health Resources, the clinics aim to offer treatment plans, crisis intervention and resources for ongoing care. 

Meet the Mobile Clinic Team 

The mobile clinic staff comprises compassionate mental health professionals dedicated to providing care where it’s needed most. Each team member brings a unique background in healthcare, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment. Registered Nurse Team Lead: Nicole B. Richardson, BSN, RN 

Nicole Richardson has been a registered nurse for over seven years. She joined the mobile clinic team to fulfill her dream of serving communities in need, including the one she grew up in. 

“Our mobile clinics are here to let people know we’ve heard the need, and we’re here to help,” she says. Nicole believes the clinics can reduce psychiatric hospital admissions by addressing crises early and offering treatment plans that combine therapy and medication. 

Peer Support Specialists: 

The Peer Support Specialists at Monarch’s Mobile Clinic are dedicated professionals who assist patients in accessing care and feeling supported throughout their treatment journey. They are committed to connecting underserved populations with vital resources and providing a comforting presence during their visits. 

 Joseph Campbell 

Joseph Campbell joined the mobile clinic team in 2022, bringing years of experience in community service. He is passionate about helping people access care and views the clinics as a vital resource for connecting with underserved populations. 

Winston Thomas 

Winston Thomas shifted to a career in peer support after decades in the restaurant industry. He finds fulfillment in helping patients feel comfortable and valued. 

“Every time a patient returns for a follow-up, it’s proof that our work makes a difference,” he says. 

Registered Nurses:  

Monarch’s registered nurses are integral to the Mobile Clinic’s success, using their extensive mental health expertise to connect with patients and address community needs.  

“Our goal is to eliminate the stigma around mental health and ensure everyone feels welcome and supported,” shares one of Monarch’s dedicated nurses.
