Monarch Expands Long-Term Services in Three Counties

Monarch announced a long-term services expansion in Cabarrus, Gaston and Rowan counties on Sept. 1 as it began the management of services formerly offered by Community Living Concepts, Inc.

The supervised living and community network services acquired in this transition include approximately 40 staff and homes occupied by 19 residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). The seven group homes will keep the existing names and simply add Monarch to the moniker.

Monarch’s leadership team has been working to ensure that people at these locations do not experience any disruption of services.

“We are excited to welcome Community Living Concepts’ staff and residents to the Monarch family,” said Dr. Peggy Terhune, Monarch’s President and CEO. “We’ve worked diligently to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible.”

In Cabarrus, Rowan and Gaston counties, Monarch adds these homes to an array of existing services that includes Supported Employment, Peer Support, Intensive In-Home and Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) services and an outpatient office in Gastonia. Service maps have been updated on Sharepoint and you can also view a complete list of services provided by county on www.MonarchNC.org.
