Are you part of a church or civic group or a corporate workgroup that is interested in volunteering with Monarch?

Are you an individual with an interest in helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental illness? We’d love to talk with you.

Although we are not currently scheduling volunteer projects inside Monarch facilities due to Covid, we hope to be scheduling new volunteer opportunities starting early 2022.

So that we will have your contact information when we are once again ready to accept new volunteers, please email Brian Gott at (704) 777-2345 or Brian.Gott@MonarchNC.org.

For information about internship opportunities and academic course credit, email internship@monarchnc.org or call (704) 986-1505.

Who can volunteer?

Monarch has volunteer opportunities across North Carolina for individuals and groups who are interested in sharing their talents.

We welcome groups of friends, professional colleagues, or civic organization members to volunteer with us. If you are looking for a one-time opportunity for your group to volunteer together for a fun team-building and community service experience, we would be happy to talk with you more.

How can I get started?

Volunteers are matched with Monarch sites based on availability, location and your preference for volunteer service. Prior experience is not required to be considered for a volunteer position. When we place prospective volunteers, their availability and interests are more important to us than experience.

All volunteers complete required paperwork and background checks prior to placement and receive appropriate training based on type of service provided.

To get started, please call or email Brian Gott at (704) 777-2345 or Brian.Gott@MonarchNC.org.
