Dave Richard, Peggy Terhune to discuss Medicaid Reform
Dave Richard is the Deputy Secretary of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Services for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). He oversees the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services and the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities.
Dr. Peggy Terhune is the Executive Director of The Arc of Stanly and CEO of Monarch. She is an active member of several prominent state committees and has served as an appointee of Gov. Pat McCrory to the N.C. Developmental Disabilities Council and the Medicaid Reform Advisory Group, which collaborated with the state’s Department of Health and Human Services in its development of a detailed plan to reform North Carolina’s Medicaid system.
Established in 1958, Monarch provides support statewide to thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders.
