Intensive In-Home Services
When a family feels they have come to a point of crisis with a child or young adult ages 3 to 20 experiencing mental health problems, Intensive In-Home Services (IIHS) can help. Monarch's IIHS Team can help manage a child’s behavior by assisting and empowering families in developing problem-solving skills and accessing community resources.

Community Support Team
Monarch’s Community Support Team (CST) offers services to help adults with mental health and substance abuse issues. These services are provided by a team of professionals who work together to support individuals in reaching their recovery goals. CST focuses on community-based rehabilitation, helping people in their home, workplace and in the community as they navigate everyday life.

For some people, recovery from mental illness is a long and especially challenging road. For adults with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), Monarch provides Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services. These programs use evidence-based practices to empower individuals with the skills they need to engage as active members of their community.

Peer Support Services
Recovery from mental illness or substance use disorders can often be made better with support from someone who has similar experience. Peer support services in mental health involve help provided by individuals who have personal experience with mental health challenges. The service supports recovery and well-being by leveraging shared experiences and understanding.

Monarch's Facility-Based Crisis Center in Lumberton accepts referrals from all North Carolina counties. The Center supports adults experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis.

The SECU Youth Crisis Center, a Monarch program, is the first step in life-changing treatment for young people experiencing a mental health crisis. Referrals are accepted from all North Carolina counties.

Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IDD)
Monarch’s intermediate care facility homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ICF/IDD) offer the highest level of residential care designed to meet the needs of each resident. These residential services also include the integration of physical health care such as nursing, physical and occupational therapy and physician oversight.

Monarch's Supported Living Services are provided through the North Carolina Innovations Waiver and provide the level of support needed so an individual can successfully live in his/her own home (alone or with a roommate).

Personal Care Services help people to develop personal interaction abilities and social skills to become more involved in the community. A staff member will work directly with individuals in any location, not including hospitals, nursing homes or intermediate care facility group homes.
