Employee Benefits
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Full-time and part-time Monarch employees accrue flexible paid time off (PTO) based on the number of hours worked weekly and their tenure at Monarch. PTO begins to accrue immediately upon the start of employment and is used to cover personal time off, sick time and holidays beyond those observed by Monarch as the employee chooses.
Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
The health and wellness of our employees and their families is important. Monarch staff have access to competitive medical, dental and vision insurance plans. Supplemental insurance is also available.
403(b) Retirement Plan
Monarch’s 403(b) Retirement Plan allows non-profit employees to plan for and invest toward future goals. Monarch’s retirement plan is available to staff members from the first day of hire and is managed by American Trust.
Flexible Spending Plan
Through a flexible spending plan, Monarch staff can budget and save for a variety of qualified expenses, including health care and child care-related costs. Flexible spending plans help reduce the tax you pay and increase take home pay.
Employee Assistance Program
Monarch’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a variety of supportive services and wellness information at no cost to Monarch staff members and their immediate family members.
Monarch Employee Care Fund
Monarch staff who are experiencing financial hardship due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disaster, house fire, illness, death of spouse or other qualifying events) can apply for assistance through the Monarch Employee Care Fund. Information and application instructions are available at MonarchEmployeeCareFund.org.
MDLIVE
Monarch employees using our health insurance have free access to MDLIVE, a virtual health care service that provides direct access to board-certified doctors via phone, video and the MDLIVE mobile app. The service is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days a year.
The physicians available through MDLIVE can treat over 50 routine medical physical and behavioral health problems including colds, flu, allergies, headache, sore throat, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, addiction and others. NO COPAY is needed, and any necessary prescriptions can be sent to your nearest pharmacy. The virtual service is accessible from home, work or wherever employees may need it.
Student Loan Forgiveness
Because Monarch is a non-profit organization, employees in some positions and geographical locations may be eligible for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, which encourages employment in the public sector by forgiving the remaining balance on qualifying student loans.
