$1,000 Ball Drop Raffle at Monarch Golf Tournament

This year’s event takes on increased importance as recent state budget cuts have endangered Monarch programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance abuse issues throughout North Carolina. Peggy Terhune, CEO and executive director at Monarch stresses the importance of every aspect of this event, “The success of many individuals is directly tied to our ability to raise funds for people who have lost funding. It is critical that this fundraiser be successful to help people with mental illness and substance abuse issues at this time.”

The second annual “Dreams Take Flight” Golf Tournament will feature a Captain’s Choice 18-hole competition at the award-winning club. The day will include lunch and be followed by a delicious dinner, music, ball drop lottery, and silent auction on the terrace overlooking the green. Guests will be treated to a day of fun, entertainment, and friendly competition while contributing to a very worthwhile cause.

Players can register at www.MonarchNC.org by emailing dstory@monarchnc.org or by calling Dana Story at 704-986-1543. Registration includes green and cart fees, lunch, dinner, entertainment, and silent auction. Golfers tee off at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 23. Separate dinner and auction tickets are also available for purchase through Dana Story for $25.
