| Event Title: | Governor Purdue Recognizes Monarch’s Volunteers |
| Event Description: | New Bern, N.C. – In 2009, participants in Monarch’s day activity programs and residents in Monarch homes contributed more than 3500 hours of volunteer service to numerous organizations all over the greater New Bern and Pitt County areas.
As a result of their outstanding efforts and contributions to their community, North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue provided certificates of appreciation for each program participant.
Tate Johnson, director of the governor’s Eastern Office, presented the awards at a Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony at Monarch Health Drive day program on Friday, April 30. |
