Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of community members, family members, and people we support who volunteer their time to govern the organization. Board members meet monthly in board meetings, as well as contribute time on committees and special events, giving unselfishly of their time, talents, and personal funds.

Chair
Angela Barbee currently serves as the chairperson for the Monarch Board of Directors. She is employed as the Branch Manager for First Citizens Bank in Albemarle. Angela attended West Stanly High School and Pfeiffer College, and has lived in Stanly County her whole life. She is married to Jeff, and has two grown children and five grandchildren. She is an active member of the Albemarle Rotary Club and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she serves as a member of the Audit committee and the church choir. Angela has a tremendous passion for individuals with disabilities who are unable to represent themselves, and works tirelessly to eliminate barriers to service.
